Today during these first days after arriving in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I'm looking at the chart and Yes… Venus went retrograde, to her shadow on the first of March, for the next 40 days she will be bouncing between two Eclipses. During the Full Moon in Virgo, on the 13th of March, we have a Total Lunar Eclipse, then on the 29th of March a Solar Eclipse.
Eclipses are very strong portals where karmic content moves in our lives, often forcing us to Integrate new experiences, supporting the change and growth that needs to happen.
Venus travels from her position as the evening star, to her shadow, to the underworld, and then returns as the morning star in the heavens. Subjects around our love life and our most precious life values will surface.
How do we I value myself?
What makes me truly satisfied?
The major themes during these eclipses will be around relationships, what we value and how aligned these values are with our truth. Venus speaks about acceptance of what we have and who we are. Venus also represents trade, assets, currency and money.
We have a few more special alignments during this time but I want to share the themes that will be projected during this period.
Venus in Aries wants individuation, to focus on self-worth and independence. Giving and receiving love may be more difficult during this period of time. We could see a lot of these dynamics in our relationships whenever you pull back and do not express your feelings, your needs, your freedom, your desires. Now will be the time for it to come out. It may feel aggressive or violent but rather than react, this is an opportunity to learn what our real values are from those experiences.
Remember to take a pause and breathe before reacting.
The ruler of Venus in Aries is Mars, who wants to feel Free. Mars is now in Cancer and wants to feel Safe and Secure. This may bring a lot of fears and questions about our sense of security within our relationship, the values we have, especially when we experience loss or feel disconnected from security. This is the time to stand on your feet and offer yourself trust, that you have all you need, that you have the courage to experience all those feelings including fear of disappointing others.

During this time some old relationships may have experienced new light and old friends may show up in your life but also profound new life changing relationships may form.
In Mundane, (global), Astrology we can already see this manifest with the recent actions of many Governmments around the world. My gut tells me that we will experience some kind of bigger events related to this Venus Retrograde Cycle which is accompanied by many other planetary alignments which can indicate karmic events and shared trauma with natural disasters and issues around loss and grief.
By the end of this cycle the Venus Saturn conjunction will suggest emotional healing of those traumatic events. But hey … there is so much to contemplate about this 40 days purging period for Venus and all related topics… let see what will unfold and how the recent sky alignments will manifest in our life.
